Granular activated carbon filters are not the right filter for filling tanks.

Granular activated carbon (GAC) filters will quickly clog with Australian Bore Water cue to the oxidation and mineralisation of the bore water minerals that will ‘cake’ within the crevices and cracks of a standard carbon filter.

If you’re using a granular activated carbon filter to fill your van, unfortunately these minerals oxidise and a bacteria film forms within the carbon filters and then clogs carbon filters.
